Glyder are undoubtedly one of the greatest International hard rock contenders to emerge from Ireland since Thin Lizzy, gaining respect across parts of Europe, Japan and beyond. Working closely with legendary producer Chris Tsangarides, Glyder have a critically acclaimed album out, their new follow up album “Playground for Life” now released and receiving rave reviews, and the bands ever growing popularity is on the up and up. Fans include Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Joe Elliot (Def Leppard ), Jeff Waters (Annihilator), former members of Thin Lizzy and Phil Lynott’s Mother Philomena to name but a few.

Live performance is where Glyder excel, establishing them as a highly credible live act opening for and touring with artists such as Thin Lizzy, The Answer, Wishbone Ash, WASP, Bob Catley and Thunder, Michael Schenker and Fish. In November Glyder won a text vote competition to open for UK Rock stalwarts Thunder on three dates of their UK tour in, a huge achievement for a foreign band considering that only UK mobiles were valid! This led to the band getting the Thunder European tour in March 2007 and securing a major international booking agent. This tour introduced them to new audiences, winning more and more fans with every rocking performance. Glyder made their first major festival appearance in Italy  last summer opening the "Gods of Metal festival" playing along side Motley Crue, Velvet Revolver and Scorpions. This album simply has the potential to become a Classic debut. Leanne was nominated this year for a Meteor Award and she won the best female artist at the Balcony TV awards. It should prove to be a very busy time for this unique Irish guitarist covering territories across Europe, the U.S.A and Canada, Japan, parts of Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
